Women's Soccer Blitz Bryan

ATHENS, Tenn.- The women's soccer team picked up a 6-1 win against the Bryan College Lady Lions on Wednesday. The win was the team's tenth Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) win of the season.

Sixteen minutes into the game, the Lady Bulldogs led 4-0. The first three goals were scored within a span of four minutes and 14 seconds, starting with a Lisa Kirwan goal on a Marta Hernan assist at the 4:08 mark. At the 7:20 mark, Stina Braun scored off Iara Tello's pass while a little over a minute later, Addison Smith gave the team their third goal on Kirwan's assist. Smith made it two in a row with the team's fourth goal of the game in the 15th minute. Tennesee Wesleyan went into the halftime leading 5-0 after Jewel Hamilton headed a Rosie Dunkerton corner kick into the net at the 42:32 mark. 

The remaining goal for the Lady Bulldogs came early in the second half. Kirwan recorded her second goal of the game with 46:56 on the clock. Though the team did not score any more, the team did outshoot Bryan 30-3. 

TWU (11-2, 10-2 AAC) clinched the No. 2 seed in the AAC Tournament with the win. The team concludes the regular season with Senior Day on Saturday against Bluefield University at 1:00 p.m.
