Women's Lacrosse Falls in Season Opener

MARIETTA, Ga.- The women's lacrosse team had a tough season opener on Tuesday. The team fell to No. 9 Life University 23-4 on the road.

The offense was not able to find a rhythm as Life scored the first eight goals of the game. Kylie Heinrich got the team on the board with a free position shot while Olivia Downey scored moments later off Heinrich's assist.

Heinrich opened the scoring in the second quarter off another free position shot and scored the team's remaining goal two minutes later. The momentum from the goals did not carry as the Lady Bulldogs were held scoreless for the remaining of the game.

TWU (0-1) will play their first home game of the season on Sunday when they host Warner University at 11:00 a.m.
