Men's Outdoor Track and Field Finishes Eighth at AAC Championships

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C.- The men's outdoor track and field team competed for individual and team titles at the Appalachian athletic Conference (AAC) Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The team finished eighth in the team standings, finishing with eight podium finishers.

Dakota Caldwell took home the individual title in the 5000m Race Walk, winning the event with a time of 26:17.69. The time was three minutes and 21 seconds faster than second place. 

KT Buchanan was on the podium two times, finishing third place in both the 100m Dash (10.37) and 200m Dash (21.46). The time in the 100m Dash qualified Buchanan for the NAIA National Meet in the event. 

The 4x100m Relay and 4x400m Relay Teams both earned spots on the podium. The 4x100m Relay Team, consisting of Noah Addison, Conner Craig, Jeremiah Jones, and Jack Headrick, finished third in the event with a time of 41.30. The team of Buchanan, Roni Bailey, Dani Meisen, and Matthew Murphy finished second in the 4x400m Relay with a time of 3:15.52.
