Men's Outdoor Track and Field Start Outdoor Season Strong at Cumberlands Early Spring Meet

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.- The men's outdoor track and field team ran their first outdoor meet of the season on Friday. The team ran at the Cumberlands Spring Early Meet. The team saw a number of top ten finishers at the meet along with two first-place finishes.

Dani Meisen won the 800m Race. Meisen used a time of 1:56.60 to be the top finisher. 

The Bulldogs saw three runners in the top ten of the 100m Dash. KT Buchanan used a time of 10.89 seconds to finish second, Savir Faneyte was fourth with a time of 11.02 seconds and Matt Murphy was eighth with a time of 11.21 seconds.

Buchanan and Faneyte recorded second top-ten finishes, both in the 200m Dash. Buchanan was second with a time of 21.81 seconds and Faneyte was fifth with a time of 22.11 seconds.

Aj Hunter was eighth in the 400m Race, running the lap around the track in a time of 52.69.

A time of 4:16.66 placed Noah Addison in eighth place in the 1500m Race while Dontae Campbell was fourth in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:04.15.

Both relay teams finished in the top five of the 4x100m Race. The team of Faneyte, Buchanan, Roni Bailey, and Murphy finished second with a time of 43.60 while the team of Kamaurian Frierson, John Jenkins, Demetrius Brandley Jr, and Jeremiah Jones was third with a time of 47.70.

The 4x400m Relay Team had the top time of 3:31.58 in the event. The team running the event were Hunter, Frierson, Jones, and Jenkins.

On the field side, Murphy hit a mark of 6.33m in the Long Jump to finish sixth while Brandley's mark of 10.82m in the Triple Jump placed him fifth. 

A throw of 10.80m in the Shot Put placed Noah Johnson in tenth place.

Micah Wilkins finished eighth in the Discus with a throw of 33.11m while Brayden Cloud was 10th in both the Discus (31.40m) and Hammer (32.14m)
