Men's Indoor Track and Field Has Strong Season Opener

DANVILLE, Ky.- The men's indoor track and field program competed in their first indoor meet of the season. The team competed at the Centre First Chance Meet. The team saw multiple top five finishes.

KT Buchanan finished third in the 60m Dash finals with a time of 6.91 seconds.

In the 200m Dash, Buchanan and Roni Bailey both finished in the top five of the event. Buchanan finished in second with a time of 22.59 while Bailey was four with a time of 23.03.

A time of 52.22 made Bailey the winner of the 400m Race. 

In the 800m Race, Stephen Kerley and Jack Headrick finished in the top three of the event, finishing second (2:03.07) and third (2:06.46), respectively. Kerley won the Mile Race with a time of 4:36.24 while Headrick was second with a time of 4:41.36.

TWU had two top five finishers in the 3000m Race. Adrian Nelka-Hernandez was fourth (9:56.10) while Conner Craigh was fifth (9:59.60)

Michael Fuchs recorded a fifth-place finish in the 60m Hurdles, sprinting down the hurdled lane in 10.92 seconds.

The Bulldogs ran two teams in the 4x400m Relay, and both placed in the top three. The team of Bailey, Buchanan, Matt Murphy, and John Jenkins ran a time of 3:38.27 to win the event while Jeremiah Jones, AJ Hunter, Braden Mayfield, and Trevor Moonin were third with a time of 3:59.34.

TWU saw a jumper record second-place finishes in two different jumping events. Murphy hit a mark of 6.55m in the Long Jump and 13.71m in the Triple Jump to finish second in both.
