ATHENS, Tenn.- The men's soccer team battled the Bryan College Lions to a scoreless tie on Wednesday. The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) rivals each earned a point with the tie.
Tennessee Wesleyan owned the offensive possession in the first half, outshooting the Lions 6-1. The attempts to find a goal for the Bulldogs were taken by Robin Vezinhet, Tony Gjomemo, Nicko Bellot, and Julien Withrow.
The shot advantage was not as large in the second half for TWU. Jake Fisher and Robin Vezinhet saw their shot attempts fly wide of the net early in the second half. The offense kept firing with shots by Sifiso Ngwenya, Logan Thompson, and Felipe dos Santos. The defenses stayed strong as the final whistle blew with neither team scoring.
