Men's Soccer Unable to Find Equalizer Against WVU Tech

BECKLEY, W. Va.- It was a tough day on the road for the men's soccer team on Monday. TWU was unable to find a goal in a 1-0 loss against the West Virginia Tech Golden Bears.

Jake Fisher almost put the team ahead in the 11th minute but his shot hit off the post. The offense was not able to find any more shot attempts though and the team went into halftime trailing 1-0.

Five shot attempts in the second half did not hit pay dirt for the Bulldogs. Fisher, Robin Vezinhet, David Tayau, Cameron Grooms, and Julien Withrow were unable to find a game-tying goal in the second half as the team fell in the game.

Astolfil Ange finished with five saves in the net.

TWU (1-2) will stay on the road for their next game. The schedule sees the Bulldogs open Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play against Columbia College on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
