Men's Lacrosse Season Ends in AAC Tournament Quarterfinals

WALESKA, Ga.- The men's lacrosse team qualified for the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) as the No. 6 seed and played their in the quarterfinals on Saturday. The team battled the No. 3 seed Reinhardt University Eagles, but fell 18-5.

After seeing the first two goals go to the opponent, the Bulldogs got on the board. Jack Driscoll scored the opening goal for the team, making the score 2-1. Driscoll gave the team their second goal of the contest, moving the score to 3-2. The Bulldogs scored the final two goals of the game off the sticks of Micah Decloedt and Madden Leslie to put the game in a 4-4 tie.

TWU carried the momentum from the end of the first quarter into the opening goal of the second quarter. Decloedt's second goal of the game broke the tie and gave the Bulldogs a 5-4 lead. The momentum did not stay with Tennessee Wesleyan as the offense went cold and Reinhardt scored the final 14 goals of the game.

Driscoll and Decloedt both scored twice. Jack Driscoll finished with 16 saves in the net.

TWU finishes the season with an 8-8 overall record.
