Men's Bowling Wins Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic

MARIETTA, Ga.- The men's bowling team came in first at the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic Tier 1 this past weekend. After making it to the round of match play, the Bulldogs won their semifinals match 3-2 against the University of Pikeville and then beat Webber International University 3-1 in the championship to take home the title at the event.

Tennessee Wesleyan entered match play as the No. 2 seed after finishing second in the team (5,058 pins) and baker games (3,385) for a total of 8,443 pins. 

In the win against Pikeville, the Bulldogs scored over 200 pins in all three wins (236-156, 248-212, and 201-192) to advance to the championship. In the championship match, wins of 191-162, 234-166, and 212-191 helped the team take home the team title.

Alex Davis had the highest individual finish on the team, finishing 20th overall with 1,036 pins scored over five games.

Up next for the team is the National Collegiate Team Match Games on Nov. 22-23 in Fairview Heights, Ill.
