Rochard Nabs AAC Pitcher of the Week Award

WALESKA, Ga.- In the newest edition of the weekly baseball awards, Sam Rochard was named the Pitcher of the Week by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC). The award was announced on Monday. This is the tenth edition of the weekly award this season.

The senior earned the award based on his performance against St. Andrews University. In the pitching win, the senior tossed seven innings in a complete game win, only allowing one earned run in an 11-1 victory. The Williamsburg, Va., native struck out eight batters in the process while only surrendering one walk.

This is the first weekly award for Rochard this season. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, April 29.
