Peyton Wins AAC Weekly Award

WALESKA, Ga.- The first edition of the weekly awards for baseball were announced by the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) on Monday. Blake Peyton was named the Pitcher of the Week by the conference.

Peyton earned the weekly honor based on his performance against Montreat College on Friday. In the start on the mound, Peyton pitched five innings, only giving up two hits, one earned runs in a total of two runs, and two walks. The San Diego, Calif., native struck out 11 batters in that timespan.

This is the first weekly award for Peyton. The next edition of the award will be announced on Monday, Feb. 26.
